THIS POST IS ABOUT THE GEOLOGICAL LOCATION OF BUDHKHOL& ALSO FOR TRAVELERS WHO WANT TO GO THERE FROM CITIES. 

I ALREADY TOLD ABOUT BUDHKHOL WHAT A AWESOME PLACE IS THAT. SO IN IT I WONT DESCRIBE ABOUT IT. SO LETS BEGIN;

In odisha the second largest city is berhampur. Which is located in ganjam district. So from berhampur towards north about 77k.m. distance there is this place. From the capital bhubaneswar its distance is about 160k.m towards south. From subdivision bhanjanagar towards east it is about 35 km long & lastly from my place buguda it is 3 k.m.. It is a historical and natural place which attracts a lot of tourists. 

This hill is divided by 3 parts. In center the natural place called itself budhkhol situated. The main place where the temple located is in the center part of the hill which is divided by 3 parts.

From people it happens to hear that Lord Buddha camping here for Boudha dharma & also he meditated here in that time at the time around B.C. 6th century. There are a lots of animals live here but never ever a single tiger came to this place. But people says may be sometimes tigers came here to see Lord SHIVA, but never harmed any animal or humans. 

There are lots of tourists who came here in many times of a year. Budhkhol means not only Lord SHIVA temple but also the whole hill where there are a lots of old histories happen to found. 

IT’S A SHORT POST. BUT IN MY NEXT POST I WILL WRITE ABOUT ALL HISTORY & HISTORICAL STORY OF BUDHKHOL. WHICH WILL BE MY LAST POST ABOUT THIS PLACE..

As I said on my previous post that here will be a new update about something new. So it’s like a third post from my post “BUDDHAKHOL”. So in it today i will describe about some places which is very good for travel & travelers could get fun time after visit these places. 

So let’s get started.

There are lots of places to visit. But i like to describe first about “Biranchi Narayan Temple”.

BIRANCHI NARAYAN TEMPLE:-

This place is famously known as for it’s wooden work. It’s second sun temple of odisha. The second arkakhetra ( sun temple) of odisha is very very famous for it’s wooden work( this place for its wooden work very attractive place for travelers).

SO let’s know about its history..

At 18th century the emperor of Ghumusar on his 10 years of ruling made this wonderful place.

It is made between 1888-1899. It’s a rare art work of woods. It looks like it consist 38 pillars,7 mixed, and like a chakra. King Srikar Bhanja at first established lord raghunath & worshiped him. After some days of worshiping suddenly god came to his dream and said him to make this temple as a sun temple. After that dream he collects god from nearest hill & establish him in this temple. Writer Shri Tripathy described this temple As second sun temple of odisha & described it’s all wood work & how the king establish god from that hill. 

Inside temple compound a lot of fruits & flowers tree happens to seem. A old well(very old , it also connect a long way from the temple), a beautiful lake & also king’s broken fort attracts a lots of tourists.

Let’s see how the place look like.

All the temple consists of many rare wooden work. 

i don’t describe it more . so let’s move to the next place

And it’s budhkhol itself which is very famous. I did blog about this place. A very cheap & wonderful place to visit.

Other places near our town like 2 dams, a lots of temples.. 

But the most attracting place is Biranchi Narayan Temple. This is not only famous in our area but also very famous all over India & whole world.

So all for today next blog I’ll describe about how much temples near us & a rare animal which happens to seem near us everyday. Hope you all like it.

SO IN THIS POST I WILL TELL ABOUT THE CULTURE & HISTORY OF MY BIRTH PLACE.

SO LETS BEGIN;

BUGUDA :-

Places near buguda & it’s town center was full with many old art & many old culture. 10 K.M. from here there are two villages where a rare tribal people happen to seen. They are called as “MUNDAPOTA” cast. In Buguda’s center There are people of YADAV BANSA who live here. A festival done by them by the time of DUSSERA. This festival starts from the day of DUSSERA to KUMAR PURNIMA. A lot of people like male, female, start from child to old all dances at the end of the night of the festival. This festival was known by “KOTHISALA”.

In the case of classical music,chanda, champu, Odisha famous dance Odishi & also in bhanja music buguda’s Shri Narayan Tripathi is famous all over India. Also in the case of making of sand statue, statue by rocks, a old type of instruments ( SANKHA DHWANI, CHANGU BAJA) there are many skilled people who live here from long time to till now. It is also known from books & history, that here carpenters made a wood girl & gave it as a present to that time king of Ghumusar to make him a good man & also prevent him from the prostitute love what was a bad habit.

A good fact in that was, they made the girl by some good engineering works that is the king place his hand in her chest then the doll will give 1000 slap to the king. For their work the king also leave all those bad habits. There are many cultural programs are happening here. Some of them are also famous in whole India. Like, old peopledance( LOKANRUTYA), Danda nacha( it’s very famous here), chadeya chadeyani, black horse or chaiti ghoda(horse) dance, bagha nata (tiger dance), nabagunjar, rajarani nata(king&queen play) & also balad nata(cow dance) , all are very famous.

But More than ever, there are two type of plays which was happens like all time of the calendar yer. That plays are known as “PRAHALLAD NATAK” & “RAJA NATAK”. Prahallad natak ( it’s a play which story is from the avatar of Lord Vishnu to make the evil thing pay). Near our town in a lot of villages there are a lots of plays still going in almost every year. Which plays are very enjoyble & liked by many peoples.

LILA- A old dance& ply which has many categories , i mean people made them like all type of old stories & also placed by god’s stories. there are many of lila like BHARATLILA(which was show history about Mahabharat), RADHAPREMA LILA( which shows the love between Lord Krishna & Radha), Krishna lila( Stories of Lord Krishna from childhood to young), Ramleela( Stories about Lord Ram) etc. 

Another famous thing happens here and it is called as “DANAKOILA”. In this famous skill there is only one man who do this skill show. In this show the man who performs is doing it by bamboo sticks & kula. He place the bamboo stick over the Kula( A man made thing which is using for bring out odd things from food) & make them rub with each other & make a sound. With that sound he mix it with his own voice & made them play very beautifully. This skill show also liked by many people who live here & who came here to see that.

A pool named “KURMA” located 5K.M. from town which is very famous in India. It is famous for it’s rare water livings, pet krumas, & also it was hearing by some people that these rare things living in water were pet by Kurmas. Also for non looking them properly now their numbers are less than before. 

This was all things about the culture & history about my birthtown. As i said before in my next blog there will be another interesting thing.

AS I SAID IN LAST BLOG, THIS IS ABOUT A PLACE WHERE I BORN. TODAY I WILL GIVE THE MEANING OF MY BIRTH TOWN.

SO WHY IT IS NAMED BUGUDA??

In history the ancient age of the Kalinga is described, from that list Buguda was another area of Kalinga(The old name of our state). In ninth century this area was made capital by Sailadobhab bansi King Madhab Barman & after got famous it was got placed in history. How this got famous was known from history & from Tamra Rules.

At the time of ninth century SOMABANSI KESARI KING “RAJAKESARI” build palaces at Purusotampur & Khanjili. AT that time here lots of ADIVASI PEOPLE live here. Time passes by The King of Bhanja defeted the Somabansi ruler to get this place. So the place added to the ghumusar. The people of here are Adivasi & undeveloped at that time. So in their point of view they named it Buguda.

In their mind, they knew odia ( a language) they said 

BU- food

GUDA- where we can get food.

That’s why it is named as buguda. From the time there it was famously known as BUGUDA.

Secondly, In others point of view a lot of Buddhist live here in caves & they saw the population growing by so they named it Buguda. This GUDA topic was individually seen by a famous writer Padmashri DR. SATYANARAYAN RAJGURU. He said that it was named from the date of 1832.

A lot of GUDA places seen in ganjam. Also there are two BUGUDAS. 

Thirdly, a lot of people say near this village a lot of gods & goddess name starts with the letter B so may be this place was named by this. But a lot of historical places like,- budhkhol, biranchi Narayan temple, baladev temple, baghua dam etc are also started with the letter B. 

So it concludes all the reasons why it is named BUGUDA.

EVERY MOUNTAIN TOP IS WITH IN REACH IF YOU JUST KEEP CLIMBING….

JUST BECAUSE MY PATH IS DIFFERENT DOES NOT MEAN THAT I AM LOST..

THE MAGIC OF MOUNTAIN ON ME;

When i was a boy from then to now i always go to a mountain near my home. It is not a big mountain but i feel some kind of extraordinary feeling when I am up there.That type of feeling I can’t express with words. But you know when I was sad I always go there & sit & listening music. After sometime I feel mostly relaxed. The feel i got there, the wind up there, the sound of birds up there, the feel of the sound of water which go through the body of the mountain is quite awesome. When you feel the sound of the water you will feel very calm & feel stress less, all that tensions that have going through your mind that will be go away. I feel that a good thing about a mountain.

That place near at my home town is called as BUDDHAKHOL. Its a place that has a lot of adventure with in it. You will get a devotional place of LORD SHIVA. That temple is also quite old. A lot of people come there for worship LORD SHIVA. Some says there is quite a strange thing about this place. Very much spiritual place.

There is also a cave in the top of the mountain, where two mountains connected with each other. The place of the cave is surrounded with a lot of trees. The cave is not a big one but it is okay to attract some people to it & let them try to enter to the cave & out through a other side. You have to crawl through it. I tried & almost passed 3 to 4 times.

There is also a waterfall which attracts a lot of people for take the advantage of bath there. The waterfall is not big but it has that some kind of attraction in it. When I go to the temple , then first always i hit in the waterfall & bath. then went to see or worship lord. A lot of people go to the waterfall for excitement .It gives a lot of pleasure to all.

I feel lucky to have a place like that near me. When I went to home for my holidays I always go to the place everyday.Two times in a day. Always go with friends & we do enjoy a lot. Its a place that always stay in my heart. Always I mean when every time I am at home I feel like when the time come, when will morning come or when will evening come so I can go to the place & sit there. Explore the nature beauty of it, explore all the adventures of it. It is always feel great to be there for me.

Sorry I have no pic of that place with me now, But next time or in next blog I will post those fun pics of mine & that place. That’s why I always feel like that the mountain has something on me, or I mean some kind of magic on me.
